About the film
Yarn Over is a stop motion animation exploring loneliness in older adults. A widowed man, feeling isolated, is unexpectedly invited to join a local knitting group while visiting a bakery. Through this simple act, he begins to find comfort and companionship. Using a mix of stop motion, hand-drawing, and textile art, the film tells a tender story of connection and emotional healing.

About the filmmaker
Veronika Wielach (*2003) is a London- and Austria-based animator and Kingston University student. She creates tactile, analogue stop motion works that explore personal and emotional human stories.
