Every year, YOUKI invites artists from different disciplines to create six special trophies winners of the international film competition.

These trophies are created during the festival week in an open studio that the artists set up in the YOUKI Festival Center. At this open lab - a space that is open to visitors - the process of creation can be followed: An opportunity to get to know artists and their creative practice as it happens. In 2024, Mina Banabakwill design the YOUKI trophies in the festival center as artist in residence.

MINA BANABAK born 2001 in Linz, lives in Vienna and studies Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts under Jakob Lena Knebl.

Sensory overload. Chaotic. Cheeky. Between phys-icality and urbanity, her works deal with the experi-ence of living in a society, a civilization. Starting from photocollage, Mina Banabaks art has increasingly developed into three-dimensional space, in which she captures the complex multi-layered nature of urban and interpersonal structures by using a wide variety of materials and everyday objects.
